365 DAYS OF NOISE

Sounds of Construction is an audiovisual piece built from the raw noise of a real building site.

Over the span of a year, we recorded sounds and images from the construction of the Neue Festhalle in Bern. Capturing tools in motion, daily routines, and the people behind the work.

From that material, we created a 4-minute film and a live performance to open the new space. Construction sounds became the foundation for a brass band score, and the workers took the spotlight on screen.

This is a tribute to those who build. A way to make their rhythm visible, and heard.

A band performing on stage with musicians and a person using a megaphone, large screen displays fireworks, and stage is lit with blue lights, audience visible in foreground.
