A LIVE ORCHESTRAL TRIBUTE TO 2020

CONCEPT

Live Performance at the FIFF Opening Night

The FIFF (Fribourg International Film Festival) reached out to me and my team, inviting us to perform for the festival’s opening night.

We had the opportunity to collaborate with the Landwehr Orchestra, creating a unique performance for the occasion; bringing our modern works of audio and visual to traditional orchestra artistry.

A stage performance with a large screen showing people dancing outdoors, accompanied by musicians playing instruments in front of the screen in a dark theater.
A young man wearing a colorful knitted beanie, sunglasses, and a sports shirt looking to the side, with a dark background and scattered small bright lights.
Woman in dark blue scrubs standing and speaking at a conference with seated audience members watching her.

The concept was to start by simulating a technical glitch, a disruption that would capture the audience’s attention. Slowly, singer Pascale Etter joined the stage, followed gradually by the entire orchestra, to accompany our performance.

Together, we crafted a musical and emotional retrospective of the year 2020, a year marked by world-altering events. Music and emotion intertwined, offering the audience an immersive experience that went far beyond a classic film projection, leaving an audience wow’d with what they had just witnessed.
